Chlorine free pool Install

The Chlorine free pool

consist of only two components, an electrical control box that plugs into a standard 110V or 220V outlet and a clear PVC chamber that is installed in the return line to your pool or spa from the filter or pump. The system can easily be installed in less than 30 minutes.

The only work involved is cutting a small section of the PVC pipe out of the line that runs back to your pool or spa and gluing two fitting on the ends of the pipe that was cut. The chamber is then screwed hand tight onto the fittings.

The ionization/oxidation chamber in spas is installed in the water line used by the recycling pump. The controller is wired to the spa electrical service panel that is available for an ozonator. If the Chlorine free pool system is being used to replace an ozonator, the system can be wired using the plug attached to the ozonator. Chlorine Free Pool technicians can provide guidance for installation on hundreds of different spa models and manufacturers and are available six days a week to provide toll-free support.

How It Works

The Clorine Free Pool creates two sanitizing agents, copper ionization and liquid oxidation. As water flows from your pump back to your pool it travels through the ECOsmarte ionization/oxidation chamber. While in the chamber, the water will either receive copper ions or become oxygenated depending on the setting of the switch on the controller.

Copper Ionization
Copper ionization was developed in 1967 for the Apollo Space Program to insure safe drinking water and to control scale in cooling systems during space missions. The CL Free System incorporates this same technology. The copper ions created by the ECOsmarte System are safe and essential for humans, plants and animals, but are lethal to bacteria, algae and some viruses. By adding these ions to your pool or spa water, the CL Free System basically kills bacteria, algae and certain viruses and prevents them from growing in the water.

Copper ions are only added to the water for a few hours each week in swimming pools and only a few minutes each week or month in spas. The residual sanitizer in the water, produced by the ionization process, is recognized by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Natural Non-Chemical Oxidation
Chlorine Free Pool's proprietary non-chemical method of oxidation is what separates it from other chemical reducing water purification systems on the market. Oxidation is achieved by water passing through the chamber while low voltage electrical current is sent to the coated titanium plates in the chamber. While in the oxidation mode, a proprietary process of electrolysis causes the electro-physical separation of water into oxygen and hydrogen. This separation forms free oxygen atoms and hydroxyl radicals (OH). This proprietary process creates a combination of the most powerful oxidizers available for water disinfection. These oxidizers, the oxygen atoms and hydroxyl ions, are responsible for eliminating body oils, sun tan lotions and as well as the dead organic matter (that was killed by the copper ions). The Clorine Free Pool produces oxidizers, measured in grams per minute, at a level that is not available with ozone generating systems. Additionally, each CL Free oxidizer is more powerful than sodium hypochlorite, the dominant form of chlorine.

The combination of copper ionization and non-chemical oxidation produce pure, clear, clean water not available with other water sanitizing systems.
